In 1998, JD was hired as an actor on the short-lived (but very fun) New Adventures of Robin Hood. The show was filmed in Lithuania and, as his time on the show came to a close, Karen flew over and joined him for a backpacking trip through Europe that culminated in a Tuscan marriage proposal.
